System Level Approach to EMC Shielding on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

February 11, 2010, University of Michigan College of Engineering, Ann Arbor, Michigan

12/30/08 10:28 AM

The engineering of efficient and manufacturable electric drive vehicle propulsion systems for hybrid and electric vehicles will result in new challenges in meeting vehicle EMC requirements in order to assure customer satisfaction, meet legal requirements, or support mission performance goals.

A system engineering approach will help in transitioning electric motors from "small scale" to "large drive", overcoming the mechanical constraints of motor EMC compliance, applying systems integration methods of today, and developing possible solutions for the future.

The program instructor is James P. Muccioli. Fee for the one-day program is $690, which includes tuition, instructional materials, continental breakfast, lunch and breaks. Fee is payable in advance. Upon registration, you will receive an email confirmation including directions to the program site and recommended lodging.
