Swiss Solar-Powered Airplane Set For EMI Testing

 

Solar Impulse, the Swiss bid to make the first solar-powered flight around the world, rolled out its prototype recently at an airbase near Zurich and powered up the engines. The airplane was rolled out for an initial series of stationary tests involving its engines and electromagnetic interference.
