Automotive Innovators Recognized

04/09/09 11:25 AM

A group of three engineers has been selected as recipients of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International’s Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Award. The awards presentation will take place during the SAE 2009 World Congress Awards Ceremony slated for April 21 at the Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit, MI. The award, established in 1976, recognizes the authors of the best paper related to automotive electronics engineering to be presented at the SAE international meeting. This year’s winners have received recognition for their three-part paper, “Automotive FM Diversity System.” Part I focuses on a review of propagation channel modeling and multipath fading. Part II deals with analog diversity systems that have developed to combat the effects of an FM broadcast signal while Part III discusses new digital implementations of FM diversity systems that have been designed in DSP algorithms.
