EM Detection Technology Wins Company $4.8M Contract

Anti-terror technology being developed at Nokomis Inc. in Charleroi, Pa., received a boost in a bill recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives. The $636.3 billion fiscal year 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill that cleared the House includes $4.8 million for Nokomis to continue development of detection, identification and anti-IED technology. The company specializes in electromagnetic effects and electromagnetic signature detection and exploits electromagnetic waves through technology that has the capability to detect, locate and track electronic devices and their users, according to the Valley Independent.
