The automotive industry faces difficult challenges in meeting EMC requirements. In today’s passenger cars or trucks, onboard electronic systems are low cost, high performance, and size/space limited while requiring a long operating life and high reliability. Therefore, to assist the automotive EMC practitioner, this Special Session will present the state of the art in the automotive EMC research fields relating to EMC testing, EMC design techniques, international automotive standards, general automotive innovation/research, and safety requirements for automobiles. Invited speakers are actively involved in the EMC development in the industry, universities, or government/regulatory agencies.
