Standards Update

NEBS

08/14/08 12:51 PM

NEBS (Network Equipment Building Standards) is the set of safety, spatial, and environmental design guidelines applied to telecommunications equipment in the United States. The NEBS concept was first introduced by Bell Labs in the 1970s. Telcordia, and its predecessor Bellcore have maintained the NEBS documents since the divestiture of the local Bells in 1984. Additional information on the scope of these requirements can be found on the Telcordia website.

International standards play a vital role in EMC. Check out the latest developments in standards that affect your sector of EMC by using the channels feature of the InterferenceTechnology website. For example, see the NEBS/Telecom website.
