Recently introduced e-waste regulations are being implemented in several provinces across Canada. The new rules are similar to the European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive. The legislation’s goal is to cut the amount of electronic and electrical waste in landfills and to move the burden of disposal costs for the products at their end-of-life treatment and disposal to producers rather than end users. For more information, visit the Green Supply-Line website.
Today’s electronic devices must meet both EMC and environmental standards. Learn more about the impact of these dual requirements by reading the postings at the Testing Community Forums.
