Shielded SMT Inductors Reduce Interference in High Density Boards

 

The LP Series from API Delevan consists of shielded surface mount power inductors—viz. the LP404R, LP5035R, LP505R, and LP5064R. These devices are magnetically shielded to reduce interference in high density boards, to exhibit minimal DC resistance, and to provide desirable current capabilities. These components are constructed with a unique inductive coil presenting two outer coil ends, each integrally formed into a terminal lead at opposed sides of the inductor. Inductances are available from 0.150 µH to 2.20 µH with current ratings from 16 A to 112 ADC. These components operate within the temperature range of -20 degrees C to +125 degrees C and are available with lead-free termination finishes, thus complying with EU Directive 2002/95/EC and its applicable amendments.
