Two-Piece BLS Choices Expands Design Options

 

The Snap-Shield and the Vault-Shield from Orbel Precision Solutions are the two newest additions to the E-Z Shield™ BLS (board level shielding) line. The versatile shields are suitable for either surface mount or through-hole applications. Utilizing standard universal tooling allows PCB designers to build custom configured shields with little to no tooling costs. The designer simply selects from many standard product features that should be part of the shield design. The Snap-Shield and Vault-Shield are available in 0.010″ or 0.015″ thick nickel silver, steel (1010), phosphor bronze, brass, and beryllium copper with heights ranging from 0.080″ to 2.00″. In-house electroplating capabilities are available, and shields can be plated with tin to enhance the solder bond of the shield to the PCB. Find more product information on the Orbel website.
