ZERO GROUND Technology Receives Approval for Mining Industry Use

 

Illinois-based ZERO GROUND, well known maker of wiring and shielded conduit systems, has announced that it High Frequency Extraction System (HFES™) that reduces high frequency ground currents, has been formally approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) for use in underground and surface mines located in the United States. This ZERO GROUND product has also been approved by the Bureau of Mine Safety Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. HFES is used wherever AC induction motors are operating in conjunction with variable frequency drive (VFD) applications and for other applications where large switching power supplies are used. The HFES design provides full benefits exceeding 500 ft. lengths and is a completely passive system that utilizes no filters or brushes. View the original press release on the ZERO GROUND website.
